At First Lutheran Church, we are filled with gratitude as we share all the ways God is moving in and through our congregation. This week’s First Notes highlights the many opportunities for worship, service, and fellowship that bring us together as the body of Christ.
We give thanks for those serving in worship on July 20 and those preparing to serve on July 27. Your gifts of time and talent are a blessing to our church family. We extend a warm welcome to all visitors joining us for worship and invite you to sign our guest book in the Narthex so we may send our greetings and thanks for your visit.
We’re calling on our church family to consider serving in several important ministries. The Memorial Committee is seeking new members, and our Nominating Committee is working to fill upcoming Church Council positions. Noah’s Ark Preschool is also in search of a part-time Director—please prayerfully consider if God may be calling you to this role.
Our ongoing outreach efforts include supporting the Livingston County Health Department’s food box distribution, the Hope Center’s Baby Bottle Project, and our Food Pantry collection. We are also gathering supplies for Lutheran World Relief School Kits, ensuring children around the world have what they need for the school year. Monetary donations are also welcome to help us complete the kits.
Fellowship opportunities abound, with the CEO “Come Eat Out” group meeting for lunch on July 23 at the Old Log Cabin and the Men in Mission gathering that same evening.
We are grateful for the 88 souls who worshiped with us last week and for your generous contributions totaling $2,442. As we continue to meet our ministry needs, we trust in God’s provision and your faithful support.
Join us for worship each Sunday at 9:00 AM, with Sunday School following at 10:25 AM. May we continue to grow together in faith, love, and service as we live out our calling as First Lutheran Church.
