First Lutheran Foundation Committee Now Accepting Grant Applications

The First Lutheran Foundation Committee is pleased to announce that it is now accepting grant applications. The purpose of the Foundation Committee is to enable First Lutheran Church of Pontiac, Illinois, to fund specific projects that support its mission and ensure the long-term financial stability of the church.
The Foundation seeks to provide a perpetual source of income to benefit the following five key areas of ministry:
Mission and Benevolence:Â Supporting local, regional, and global outreach projects.
Education:Â Offering scholarships for parish education, college students (beginning sophomore year), and seminary students.
Youth:Â Funding programs that nurture and engage young people in faith and service.
Worship and Music: Enhancing the worship experience and strengthening the church’s music ministry.
Capital Projects:Â Supporting major acquisitions, renovations, and new construction initiatives.
Eligibility: Only members of First Lutheran Church, Pontiac, IL are eligible to apply. (Membership is defined in the church’s Constitution, sections C8.02 a–c.)
How to Apply: Applications are available in the First Lutheran Church office and must be returned by November 15, 2025.
The Foundation Board will review all submitted applications and begin distributing grant funds in February 2026.
