Our recent Birthday Bash! was a wonderful celebration of fellowship, food, and faith, and we are grateful for everyone who helped make it such a success. The event was well attended, and a special thank you goes out to all who braved the cold and weather to be with us. Your presence helped make the day truly special.

The meal was a highlight all its own, featuring delicious deli sandwiches, barbecue sandwiches, and an impressive assortment of cupcakes and cakes of every shape, size, and flavor each one as tasty as the next. A heartfelt thank you goes to Vicki Day, Jim Day, Chris Lauritzen, Fred Shirley, and the many others who worked behind the scenes to prepare, serve, and organize this fellowship activity. Your time and care made all the difference.

We are also grateful to Pastor Johnson for sharing a beautiful sermon and for leading us in grace before the meal. His words grounded our celebration in gratitude and reminded us of God’s presence among us. A special thank you as well to Fred Shirley for serving as our Bingo announcer and keeping the fun going throughout the afternoon.

As a church family, we would also like to lift up special prayers for Pastor Johnson as he prepares for an upcoming medical procedure. We give thanks for his leadership and ask God to surround him with peace, healing, and strength.

Moments like the Birthday Bash remind us of the gift of Christian community. If you are looking for a church home, or simply a place to reconnect with faith, we invite you to prayerfully consider visiting First Lutheran Church. We are a Christ-centered congregation of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC), grounded in Scripture, worship, and loving service to one another and our community.

Thank you again to everyone who helped, attended, and shared in this joyful celebration. We look forward to many more moments of fellowship together.
