Celebrate Thanksgiving with Food, Fellowship, and Service at First Lutheran Church!

As Thanksgiving approaches, First Lutheran Church in Pontiac invites everyone to gather for an afternoon of good food, fellowship, and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.

On Sunday, November 15, at 11:00 AM, our church family will come together for a Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner and Service Project, celebrating the blessings of the season while sharing God's love through service.

A Traditional Thanksgiving Meal

Everyone is invited to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner featuring turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and all the wonderful dishes that make this holiday special!

The church will provide the turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and drinks. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share.

To help with meal planning, please sign up on the clipboard available during church services. This will help us estimate attendance and ensure there's plenty of food for everyone.

Putting Our Faith into Action

Following the meal, we'll turn our gratitude into action by assembling disaster hygiene kits for the Great Rivers Mission District in Rantoul.

These kits are an important way to provide practical assistance to individuals and families affected by disasters. All supplies will be provided by First Lutheran Church, and volunteers of all ages are encouraged to lend a hand with assembling the kits.

It's a meaningful opportunity to serve others while spending time together as a church family.

Join Us on November 15!

Whether you're coming to share a favorite Thanksgiving dish, enjoy time with friends, or help with our service project, we hope you'll be part of this special afternoon.
